FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
F.A.Q's and Answers
WE KNOW YOU HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS! HERE IS WHERE YOU MIGHT FIND THE ANSWER YOU'RE LOOKING FOR!
1) What type of equipment do you use?
We believe that keeping up with technology and giving our customers the best is worth every penny. We don't hesitate to invest in equipment, especially if it can give our customers exactly what they need.
We use Sony cameras, the most expensive lenses available for the sony system, and multiple flashes, light, and strobes! Our cameras are always the lastest models, and we carry backups in case of emergencies. If you're a technology nerd, here is a list of some of our most used equipment:
1) Sony A7RIV(a) 61megapixel, Sony A7III 24megapixel, and Sony A6600 24megapixel Mirrorless Camera bodies
2) Sony 50mm F1.2 G-master lens
3) Sony 24mm F1.4 G-master lens
4) Sony 35mm F1.4 G-master lens
5) Sony 24-70mm F2.8 G-Master lens
6) Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG DN Art lens
7) Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 DG Art lens
8) Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 lens
2) How do you dress at our events?
Our team is always dressed in business casual and semi-formal attire. Typically, that looks like a sports coat and slacks for men, and a formal dress or slacks and blouse for women. We will always make sure we look the part!
3) How many pictures do you take on our special day/event?
We provide our customers with an average of 50-75 fully edited photos PER HOUR of shooting. Although we take many more pictures, we filter and provide you with the "cream of the crop". All images are enhanced for beautiful colors, white balance, exposure and sharpness.
4) We love YOU, but what about your team? Will we love your second photographer as well?
The good news is, the Reel Photogroup team is comprised of people who have similar personalities. We need to work well together, so we have a team of people that are equally fun, creative and professional. If you love your main photographer, you will love your second shooter and videography team just as much!
5) What is your payment plan?
Our wedding photography packages start at a very reasonable price and allow our clients to divide the payments 33%-57%-10% rather than paying the entire payment lump sum. We understand weddings aren't cheap, so we try to be reasonable by splitting the payments for various stages of the contract. Typically, we ask for a 33% deposit, 57% 5-days prior to the wedding event, and the remainder 10% 5-days before delivery of the final images. This way you have something to hold on to, and we have a motivation to provide you with your final products ASAP!
This payment option ensures that you're receiving services while payments are being made, but it also provides us with security in case payments aren't made or delayed beyond what has been negotiated. (Believe us, we've had it happen)!
Based on our customers needs and the level of coverage, we do customize payment plans and do the best we can to work with our clients!
6) How long does it take to get our images?
Many photography companies don't provide images for 6-12 months. We believe that photos are taken for sharing, posting and creating prints/albums. Customers are most excited shortly after their big day is over, and for that reason we believe customers should have a few images in their hands within 5 days of the event. We strive to provide ALL FINAL edited images to our customers within 6-8weeks! Yes you, read that right. 6-8weeks for all your digitally edited, enhanced and final images!
7) I've seen a select few images from the wedding events you've covered, but can we see images through-out an entire day of coverage?
Many photographers only post a select few images from an entire event. This helps customers get a better sense of variety, and avoids having to scroll through several hundreds of images for each event. We encourage you to sit with our photographers and go through a few full albums so you can see how we adapt to each situation through-out an entire event!
8) Do you charge for travel?
We are willing to travel anywhere with a 30 miles radius of Chicago, Illinois, or Davenport, Iowa without travel charges. Beyond that, travel expenses or hotel accommodation may be required. If a flight is required to reach the destination, airfare coverage may be required. Expenses will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We try to accommodate you to our best ability as long as it is within reason.
